I was born with allergies and have struggled with eczema (atopic dermatitis) for as long as I can remember. Growing up, dermatology clinics were a constant part of my life—topical steroids, oral medications, and occasional injections. Like many people with sensitive skin, I spent years searching for a moisturizer that could calm my flaking, itching skin and prevent flare-ups.
I am a Ph.D.-trained molecular biologist and pharmacologist. I earned my doctorate at Seoul National University and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Chicago and UCLA. My scientific career has focused on anti-aging and inflammation research, and I have worked on novel drug discovery for human diseases at biotech companies in San Diego, California. In early 2021, I decided to apply my scientific expertise to my own skin.
I began researching and formulating, moving away from the idea that skincare needs dozens of ingredients. I removed everything unnecessary, keeping only what is essential for skin health without causing irritation. After countless iterations, I developed a small line of skincare products—toner, serum, and cream.
I do not exaggerate the efficacy of my products by promising dramatic changes in a week or so. These products are designed for those who have been desperately searching for the right daily care for their problematic skin. With consistent, long-term use, inflammation gradually subsides, skin tone brightens, and the skin begins to feel calmer and more stable.
My goal is to provide high-quality skincare that is reasonably priced, where the value comes from what is inside—so that anyone seeking relief for ultra-sensitive skin can use these products for a lifetime.
