I am a Ph.D.-trained molecular biologist and pharmacologist. I earned my doctorate at Seoul National University and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Chicago and UCLA. My scientific career has focused on anti-aging and inflammation research, and I have worked on novel drug discovery for human diseases at biotech companies in San Diego, California. In early 2021, I decided to apply my scientific expertise to my own skin.
I began researching and formulating, moving away from the idea that skincare needs dozens of ingredients. After countless iterations, I developed a small line of skincare products—toner, serum, and cream—using my and my wife’s skin as personal test cases.
